I've officially finished my last day of work for the year 2006!!
What a relief! Granted, I've only been back at work just over 2 weeks, but work is so tiring, draining, stressful and boring!! I know I have it alot better than most other fresh graduates, but somehow that doesn't lessen the pain of dragging myself to work everyday. Waking up early everyday sucks. Sitting in office gives you a flat ass. Facing your bosses makes your stress levels sky-high.
I've had enough.
*haha*
So, I'm off to Bintan! *yay* It will be my 2nd trip to Bintan this year, and even though the weather forecast looks bleak, I'll be glad just to get away from dreaded W-O-R-K. *haha*
Days of lazing and sleeping in here I come!

"Warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all" (1 Thessalonians 5:14).
All of us live with a complexity that is not easily understood by others or ourselves. This is one of many reasons the Bible encourages us to relate to others with a spirit of thoughtful patience and firm gentleness rather than with a spirit of judgment and condemnation. If we are followers of Jesus, filled with His Spirit, we will be more than moral drill sergeants. Guided by His Spirit, we will give others the consideration we want for ourselves.
If troubled people need our help, we don’t do them a favor by ignoring or indulging unhealthy thinking when there is reason to believe they could be making better choices. Love needs to be strong, and sometimes even tough, in dealing with those who are profoundly impaired. But this is where we need to use wisdom and patience rather than the presumption of ignorance.
How true.

EXAMS ARE OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, hopefully at least.. assuming I passed all my papers. :)
Had a brief 'break' over the weekend and felt like I've finally rejoined civilization *haha*
Went to A's house on sat to cook dinner and it was so much fun! S made 3 DELICIOUS courses:
1. Watermelon salad with cheese and almonds
2. Salmon in cream sauce (with lots of other secret ingredients) and
3. Cheese and spinach tortellinis (which I helped to roll!).
It was so yummy!! And not only that, it was presented so BEAUTIFULLY! We all had to take pictures before we ate the food. S, you are such a great cook. Please cook for me more often!
The rest of us mere mortals stuck to the easier stuff.
A and SM made White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies (yum).
With M as my washing boy *hehe* (later promoted to Co-chef), I tried my hand at making Sticky Date Pudding and Toffee Sauce with Vanilla icecream on the side.
We made everything (but the vanilla icecream) from scratch! I was inspired to make the pudding after treating myself to the one at Marmalade's Pantry on friday. But I have to say, my sticky date pudding was a pale comparison, although everyone else thought it was really yummy and licked the pan clean. *haha* Ah well, my next batch will be better!! :) Maybe I'll try again next week. :)
My break was short-lived though. Now I'm back at work (and secretly blogging from the office)! Moved into my new office which is nice. :) It's fairly big and tucked away in a corner of the Pupil's Wing so I have quite alot of privacy. :) My view... is not bad.. it's 80% overlooking the port (I see rows and rows of containers) and 20% buildings. *haha* At least I don't get the evening sun.
All in all, pretty happy. :)
